Meridian Toggle Bracelet BUNDLE (Pattern and Materials Kit)

$48.00

Pattern and Kit included.  For the downloadable pattern only, see here.  For the materials kit only, see here.

The bundle pairs the Meridian Toggle Bracelet pattern with the complete materials kit in your chosen colorway. You download the PDF, open the YouTube video, and everything you need to start beading is already waiting for you.

I designed it this way on purpose. There is nothing worse than getting excited about a new pattern and then spending two hours sourcing beads that may or may not be right. The kit has exactly what I used. The colors are exactly what I chose. You can sit down and start.

And the video? My longest yet. 54 minutes of me beading right alongside you, with timestamps throughout so you can jump straight to the section you need.

The Meridian Toggle Bracelet is one of those designs where everything has to work together from the very beginning.  The clasp is as integral as the strap design.

This one is a skill builder. It combines a beaded toggle ring and bar with an even-count peyote stitch strap sewn using two different sizes of beads. The clasp and larger beads are seamlessly integrated into the design.  I have always believed a bracelet or necklace clasp should be considered part of the overall design, not an after thought, attached after the beading is finished.

Steps in creating the bracelet:

  • We start by creating a two-sided D-ring using 15/0 seed beads and 11/0 cylinder beads then zip the sides together
  • We establish the bracelet body by incorporating 8/0 beads and 11/0 cylinder beads into an even-count peyote stitch strap.
  • After reaching the desired length, the bracelet is tapered and ended.
  • We then create a toggle bar using 11/0 and 8/0 beads and peyote stitch.
  • The final step is to sew the toggle bar to the strap.

Skills taught:

  • How to construct a two-sided, three-dimensional object. The D-ring toggle is fully beaded on both sides. I will walk you through the exact steps.
  • How to work with different bead sizes in the same piece. The Meridian uses 11/0 Delicas, 15/0 seed beads, and 8/0 seed beads together.
  • How to create a toggle bar using 8/0 seed beads and 11/0 Delicas

Skill level: This is an intermediate pattern. You should be comfortable with peyote stitch and able to maintain consistent tension. But if you have been beading for a while and you are ready to think about design, not just technique, this one is for you.
