I have long wanted to bead non-jewelry objects to show off beautiful bead colors, and have wanted to find a way to let light illuminate them. After beading these butterflies in a mix of opaque and transparent delica beads, I mounted them on slabs of 1" thick plexiglass. They can be set flat or on end in a windowsill to show off the beads and colors. They have to be seen to be believed!
Monarch is 2" x 4", the blue butterfly is 3" square.
